Photovoice Uganda:
Photovoice Uganda is a photographic art exhibit, where the artists are a group of children from Mbarara, Uganda.   Christy Tharenos taught children ages 13-19 how to use digital cameras, and to take pictures using photography principals and artistic expression. the children were asked to take photos of what physical activity and sport means to them and how it affects their lives. Along with the experience of learning about photography, they also learned about the medical benefits of exercise and how that fits into a healthy lifestyles that can last a lifetime. The result of this project is a vividly beautiful account of Ugandan life told through photographs. Come and check it out!
